I have only 5 Goals for 2015. As with all the goals, I picked ones that will push me to do things that I would normally avoid for one reason or another.
The 3rd goal on my list for this year was to run in a race. I was mentioning a possible 10k, but, in February, I had a minor knee injury. I had to stop training for a couple of months. Now I’m almost fully recovered, but even in this situation, 10k seems a little too much. While I was pondering and considering which races I should take into account, I’ve received an amazing opportunity to run at a Run or Dye race.
I am so excited about all of these for lots of reasons. It looks like so much fun, I had a look on youtube. This will be my first ever race and I never ran 5k before.
I will join the race in Cheshire, on 27th June, at Cholmondeley Castle. It’s quite daunting that the race is in less than 3 weeks and I didn’t train at all. So, today I will have my first run.
At the same time I’m doing P90X3. I don’t want to stop the working out routine because hubby and I are training together.
This is the recovery week and it’s easier to get a couple of running workouts without any issues. From next week things will get a little more complicated. But, even so, I should be able to schedule 2-3 running sessions a week, on top of my daily workout routine.
My friend is doing it. I am not fan of running, in fact I dont exercising at all 🙂
The race should be fun. I exercise almost daily, can’t wait to run the race.
Well done for signing up! I was coming home from Bucks on Sunday and the trains were packed from Wembley full of people who had been doing the colour run- they were all strangely covered in coloured powders!x
I love the idea of running a 5k or 10k, but I know that can’t do it haha. Someday, I do want to participate in The Colour Run though.
Good luck Anca.
Thank you Izzy x I saw some videos on youtube and it doesn’t look like the pace is fast. Is more fun than a run 🙂
Best of luck with this, Anca 🙂 I’m sure you will be totally awesome! I’ve never been one for running in front of people, I prefer the park when it’s quiet, but well done for having the courage to do it 🙂 x
Thank you Amanda xx
Something similar happened over here called The Colour Run but I didn’t join! I didn’t find out until it was too late…It looks amazing though, all the colours just springing at you! Perfect!
xx Bash
Thanks Bash x I think it will be fun, I can’t wait 🙂
