Brazilica in Liverpool was the 8th annual International Samba Carnival. The Festival included exhibitions, a film festival, concerts, talks and the parade. We’ve only been to the parade, on Saturday, as hubby was very busy these days.
This is my favourite picture from the parade, she looks so happy.
The Parade was bigger than I anticipated. We arrived a few minutes before it started as hubby found a perfect parking spot. We had the chance to have a proper look at their costume before the parade started. As I had a map of the route, we hurried to reach a better viewing point, in front of the Anglican Cathedral.
Everybody was having fun, was smiling and cheerful. Looking at them with the drums made me think of joining a marching band. Hubby suggested that I should dance samba instead. I’m sure he said that fearing that I would practice with the drums at home.
This looks like a great event! I’ve been meaning to see Brasilica for years now as I love Latin American music and dance but I’ve never made it yet! Hope you had a wonderful day 🙂
