I have Instagram + giveaway

Update: I am pleased to announce that the winner is Carol. Congratulations!

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the giveaway. I had such a great response that I’ll make a new giveaway this month and the discount code is still active for one week.

I’ve been blogging for 6+ years and I didn’t have Instagram. Until February I didn’t even have a twitter account. It sounds strange, but I didn’t see the point until now. After discovering so many wonderful bloggers and readers on twitter, I decided to take another step and sign up for Instagram. At the moment I’m in the process of learning how to use it, but it looks pretty straight forward. To mark this step, I’ve made this giveaway.

If you follow my blog for a while, you might have noticed my passion for butterflies, as I wear them quite often, on days out or at work.  The prize will be a set of butterflies, necklace and earrings, kindly offered by Magical Accessories . I also have a discount of 25% for my readers. So, if you fancy some jewellery from their etsy shop, use the code ANCA25.

The giveaway will end on 1st September, good luck x

Blogger event in Liverpool

On Sunday I’ve been to another blogger event in Liverpool. It was organized by Jenny and Katie, two lovely bloggers I met at my first event in March (organized by Katie). The event was held at The Lime Kiln.

Blogger Meet-Up

This week I’ve attended my second event for bloggers and it was so exciting. It was organized by The Press Tent at a delightful location, The Escalator, in Manchester.
Loved the event, a glass of prosecco to start with, lots of bloggers, lots of brands with so many interesting things and the cocktails were so good, especially the ginger one. On top of that, a great goodie bag to take home.

01 Blogger Meet-Up

We had a chance to mingle and talk with the brands that were attending. I liked that there were many brands present and I could talk directly with them. I had a chance to talk with amazing bloggers, some links further in the post.

My newest post is Halloumi Pizza, baked on a pizza stone. There are also a lot of new recipes to come, as I want to post almost daily.

The Versatile Blogger Award

‎Katy @The Ugly Fish nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award. I am reading her blog and I was so surprise to find about the nomination.
It’s fun and I was thinking of posting about the blogs I’m reading so I’ve joined in.

The rules are simple:
1. Show the award on your blog
2. Thank the person who nominated you
3. Share 7 facts about yourself
4. Nominate 7 blogs
5. Link your nominee’s blog and let them know

Seven facts about me that I never mentioned before:
1. I was a Michael Schumacher fan that a few of my pets were named: Schumy – the dog, Gina Maria and Mike – parrots (after his kids) and Ralf and Ralfina – my hamsters (a feminine version of Ralf Schumacher, Michael’s brother and F1 driver himself) .
2. I had a duck as a pet even though I lived in a flat.
3. I had 3 love the dress and trash the dress photo shoots after our wedding in a wedding dress received from a friend.
4. I always had long hair, since I was 2.
5. I don’t like hot weather, so the perfect holiday for me would be in Antarctica or Iceland.
6. I don’t like jeans. I have a few pairs, but only because they are practical.
7. I don’t have any pair of flats, I don’t like them and I don’t feel comfortable wearing them.

I read a lot of blogs and it was hard to chose, but I’ve decided. Some of the blogs I started reading a few weeks ago and I love them, others I’ve read for months. Have a look x

I’m nominating for The Versatile Blogger Award:
1. Katy @littlemisskaty
2. Mark @thatgentmark
3. Sam @happyhomebird
4. Lorraine @theuncheshirewife
5. Sandra @cakeandwhisky
6. Laura @ilovecraftyblog
7. Kezzie

Why I blog?

I started my blog a couple of weeks after I moved to the UK. It was something that I planned before coming here as I already had 2 blogs at that time, one for the dog and one with recipes. I wanted an easy way to keep in touch with family and friends so I’ve started the blog. After pondering, I decided to write in English because it would be accessible for the new friends and acquaintances in the UK and almost all my friends are fluent in English anyway.

Blogger event

This weekend I attended my first event for bloggers, it took a while to write the post, but here it is.

I mentioned the event before, when I received the invite as I was so excited about this. Katie from Curvaceous Beauty organized the event and she did an amazing job. The event was held at The Button Boutique, a lovely venue, perfect for us, artistic and warm.
