Almond Hand And Nail Butter

Almond Hand And Nail Butter is another The Body Shop item I bought recently and that I loved. You can get yours from www.thebodyshop.com.

I use a Body Shop hand cream, but when I saw this butter, I thought I should try it. It said that this product will intensely hydrate my hands and cuticles. I’ve read on a few reviews that this will soften my cuticles so much that I can just press them down without having the need to cut them. It sounded intriguing and I thought I should give it a go.

Almond Hand And Nail Butter

After I received my order with this new hand cream, the almond hand and nail butter, I’ve decided I wanted to try it immediately. It has a very rich texture, as one can expect from a butter, so I’m only using this on my nails and cuticles and not on my hands. Every evening, I start my hands bedtime routine by adding a small amount of almond butter on each nail and I rub it in. Following that, I will apply my standard hand cream, that is Shea Hand Cream from the Body Shop too. This might sound a bit strange, especially if you listen to my husband. He did mention a couple of times I should get different creams for each finger and not only for nails and hands. It’s hilarious, I agree.

A few days after using the butter, my cuticles have softened. I would use the butter when I’m doing my manicure as well, to soften them a bit, and I don’t have to cut the cuticles. That’s just fab. It means less hassle and I’m happy with that. I have to admit I wasn’t sure that it will work and I’m delighted that it did.

The only downside of this product is the size. At the moment is in only 100ml pots and I think that is way too much for a hand butter. On these cold winter months, this butter is great and I hope I can continue using it in warm weather too, because I do like its help with the manicure.

  1. Ah this sounds really nice! I have neglected my skin-care routines as of late, but I generally love the Body Shop products so I bet this is grand!

  2. Oh I am glad to hear that it worked with the cuticles. I am afraid to say that I do not really take care of my hands and nails at all, apart from rubbing hand cream in when they feel dry. Nail care is beyond me but maybe I should care!

  3. This sounds like a lovely product! Because I’m crazy I would probably also use it on my hands – I absolutely love having soft hands haha. The results are promising! And even though it’s big, think that way: you’ll have some ready for next winter! 🙂
