I like seeing new towns and Derby was on my list for a while now. Hubby and I stopped there on a longer trip and we walked around. The town is beautiful. It has a lot of history and there are lots of things to see, but we were only passing through. Derby has catacombs, industrial museums, an abbey, the canal, the cathedral, an art gallery and it’s home to Rolls Royce.
The entrance to the Market Hall looked very festive. It was late afternoon and not all the shops were open at that time.
There are plenty of shops and nice cafes and restaurants in the centre.
BookCafe looks pretty and it’s a small independent cafe. We didn’t stop there, but we will next time we’ll be in Derby.
The birds seemed friendly, but I didn’t have any food.
I really enjoyed walking through the town and I want to go back when I have more time to visit a few attractions and have a coffee at a nice cafe.
I need to investigate Derby now you have mentioned catacombs đŸ™‚ Love anything like that, church looks nice too.
I’ve never been to Derby before, apart from a brief trip for a workshop! It looks like fun đŸ™‚
