5 Instagram accounts I love

I discovered recently some lovely Instagram accounts and I want to share them. All are accounts for animal rescues and they share snippets from the daily lives of the animals they care for.

Of course, all these are charitable organizations, so please consider making a donation or buying a gift (maybe for Christmas) from them. Some have an amazon wishlist and you can surprise them with a treat or two. If you are not in a financial position to help, then consider following them and sharing their stories.

5 Instagram accounts I love

Firstly, Esther‘s account from Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary. Her story is lovely and her owners are amazing: “Steve Jenkins, a Realtor, and his life partner, Derek Walter, a Magician, were living an ordinary life when a rescued would-be mini pig came into their lives.” She, a full size commercial pig, lives indoors, alongside Cornelius, the turkey, and other pets.

On her Instagram account – estherthewonderpig – she (or her dads) share updates with her 608k followers: pictures of her sleeping, videos of her eating, being vacuum cleaned (she loves it!), asking for food, going for walkies. It’s wonderful to see her.

For more details and ways to support them, you can check their websites too: estherthewonderpig & happilyeveresther.

Living with Pickles – livingwithpickles – is another account where you can see some antics of cute pigs, rabbits, and dogs. They too have their own website. Pickles is a small pig (as in huge as a pet, but much smaller than a commercial pig) and, at 2, she is not yet fully grown. She is gorgeous and very posh too.

Next – sleepypigfarm. For more details, visit their website at spfanimalsanctuary. Their story started with Maybelle, the pig Tiffany rescued five years ago. More animals joined and now there are so many wonderful stories and Instagram updates to see from them.

Based in California, Missouri, and Tennessee, they – thegentlebarn – offer A Gentle Drive-Thru in the first two locations. I would love to visit them, of course. They do live streaming on facebook and Instagram, so if you fancy a sneak peak from the rescue, it’s just perfect. Check their website too.

Last, but not least – farmanimalrefuge. I read on their website that they were inspired by the people from The Gentle Barn.

My days are more beautiful because I follow them. I love checking my Instagram and see what funny things these beautiful, loved, very special animals did lately.

I hope this post brough a smile on your face.
