Herastrau, Bucharest

With Autumn approaching, I look back when we’ve had a wonderful walk in Herastrau, Bucharest. Herastrau is a large park in the northern part of Bucharest. It got its name from the lake within its boundaries. In December last year, the park was renamed as King Michael I Park, most likely after his death. If you want to know more about the last king Romania had, have a look at my book review Michael of Romania by Ivor Porter.

These pictures are from 8 years ago, when Festus and I had an Autumnal photo-shoot. I can’t remember when exactly we did the photo shoot, but it is likely it was after his first birthday. We are going to celebrate his 9th birthday in two weeks, so I like remembering how small he was as a pup.
