London Travel

London

Yesterday I went on a day trip to London. I took the train, as time was an issue and I had to get back on the same day.

The reason for going there was to visit Pure London. I wasn’t impressed with Olympia, I had higher expectations from the venue. Maybe because the other fair that I’ve visited in London was at Somerset House. I’ve looked today and I saw Olympia is a Victorian building, but the additions made it not as nice at it was when it was built. Anyway, the venue is not that important.

I’ve spent 3 hours at Pure, while it rained. After leaving Olympia, I went for a stroll back to central London. It was lovely outside, the sky was starting to get clear. Kensington is a very nice area and I liked the old building turned into flats.

This way I passed by Natural History Museum and I’ve visit it for an hour and a half. It’s lovely and I can’t wait to visit all the museum with hubby the first time we’ll go to London on holiday.

The cocoon section, where I was looking for butterflies and flowers.

Victoria and Albert Museum, just over the road from Natural History Museum. It was very interesting, I looked around for an hour, took some pictures and put in the scrapbook for the holiday.

I love this type of evening dress, for court. I had no idea the dolls were made for sharing the new trends in fashion. It seems such a innovative idea, I liked it.

Science Museum is on the same street, an interesting museum too. I think I like more MOSI, in Manchester, but it’s worth visiting it anyway.

After the museums, I’ve met a friend and we walked though Hyde Park, by night. What could I ask for more? We’ve went for drinks at a very nice lounge, The Palm Court. The decor is lovely and we had a great time there.
