  1. Unfortunately, Russia is digging in for the long haul. Putin needs a war, to distract from all the domestic issues at home. And the Donbas region of Ukraine is rich in minerals for his mafia government to steal. Hopefully, Europe seems to be waking up to the dangers of a resurgent Russia, because we clearly can’t rely on America any more.

    1. I am not sure russia can continue the war for more than 2 years. They have limited access to western technology which is vital for their military complex and now they are taking stuff from storage, but with each month that passes there is less to take out and, of course, in worse quality. This is to be expected from all militaries, including NATO states. They started having problems with airplanes and so on.
On top of that, Ukraine is taking out the russian ships in the Black Sea, assuring Ukraine can trade. Ukraine is also damaging oil reserves and processing using drones they made themselves. russia will not be able to keep this up for a very long time. But, russia can be joined by China and Iran and North Korea and the situation can easily change to worse for us.

I agree with you on US, their political system is less and less reliable.

    1. It was a bit cold, but at least it didn’t rain! 🙂
I would have liked to stay for longer, but we were going at a black tie event in Cambridge, so we left early. We were among the firsts to get to Trafalgar. By the time everybody arrived, the whole square was filled with people.
