Pitt Rivers is located in the same building with the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. Here are some pictures from that museum too.
Both museums are free to visit. Can be found on Parks Rd, Oxford, OX1 3PW.

Looks fascinating, Anca. Thanks for adding to my Oxford list!
I visited the Pitt Rivers museum a few years ago and loved it. It’s so unusual and it isn’t as famous as other museums in Oxford. It’s worth seeing because it has so many unique exhibits!

Wow! So many fascinating things to see; I could spend hours in a place like this. What was the display with the bees?
It was a hive with glass panels, so we can see them. The bees can fly from the hive through a corridor that takes them outside. The museum is very close to a park, so I imagine they can find plenty of food around.
That is so neat! Our cattle/bee partner has talked about building some hives with glass panels, but never done it. Maybe I need to encourage him! 😉
