Things I’m looking forward to

I thought it would be nice to make a little update with things I’m looking forward to this month and next month. These days I’m going to try out a new subscription box and I can’t wait to share my views on the blog. But, this post is about other things I’m looking forward to.

Things I'm looking forward to

First of all, I’ve received yesterday a Northern Soap that I’ve ordered after seeing the review Sarah did on her blog @ www.salocainwonderland.co.uk. I’m going to take some pictures of it and I might do a review myself, if I fancy it. I was looking for a deep cleanser and this one looks great. I’m a bit busy at the moment, so I might start using it next week.

My husband and I booked tickets for International Jousting Tournament at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. The event will take place over the Easter bank holiday weekend. We’ve got our tickets for Easter Monday. It should be so much fun. I can’t wait for it.

This weekend the new F1 starts. I’m really looking forward to it, hoping that this year Mercedes will not dominate as last year. Recently I’ve been watching Formula E and that proves to be very exciting indeed. It’s starting to grow on me more and more. Who knows, if nothing changes in F1, I might be more into Formula E. Also, I hope that Formula E will not change and become more like F1, with lots of penalties, like the one Sam Bird received in the last race, for doing something that everybody else was doing, but that had unfortunate consequences. From my point of view, if there isn’t an intent to take someone out, then there shouldn’t be a penalty.

I recently bought 5 books and I can’t wait to start reading them. As it seems I can’t stop myself from borrowing books, I might not start reading these next weeks, but I will read at least 3 of them soon.
The books I’ve bought:
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
Republic by Plato
Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management: Abridged edition by Isabella Beeton

Last, but surely not least, is the home office that we are in process of renovating at the moment. It takes a lot of time, but we want everything to look great, so is time worth spending. Of course, any kind of renovation comes with a bit of a hassle and unexpected problems, like buying some new sockets and seeing that despite being bought in the same day, from the same shop, by the same supplier, their colour is different and we’ve had to go back and return them. But, overall, the things are moving forward and there is progress every single day. I’m very pleased with that.

  1. Ahhhh a jousting event sounds like so much fun! Always nice to see a post full of positivity ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I think Formula E is coming back to London next year, which is very tempting!

I’ve just about recovered from the early start this morning for the F1. I’m a Hamilton fan so it was good to see them ahead of the pack again at the start of these season, but also the movement among the rest of the pack. We shall have to wait and see how it plays out.

    1. Yes, it does. I can’t wait for Formula E to come to London, I’m going to get tickets.

  7. I look forward to your post about the jousting! The closest I’ve come to seeing anything like that is at the Excalibur in Las Vegas where they have a dinner show featuring it. We’ve been several times.
