Bare Minerals Lip Gloss Set

I got this Bare Minerals Lip Gloss Set in the goodie bag from the Celebrity MUA Masterclass. At the end of April I’ve started using it and I was very happy with it, despite me not being to keen on lip gloss. The set is not available on their website, but they do have the same range of lip glosses, called Moxie.

The Bare Minerals Lip Gloss Set contains three Mini Moxie shades: Spark Plug, Charmer, and Future Star. The mini lip gloss is 2.25ml each.

My favourite shade is Spark Plug – dusty pink pearl. It is the darkest colour in the set. I like it because it’s very versatile. I can use this lip gloss on its own, when I’m going out to walk the dog or at the supermarket. In those situations, I think that a lipstick can be a bit too much, especially as I love having lipsticks with intense colours.

I’m also using the lip gloss on its own when I’m volunteering. As a room guide in a stately home, I’m dressed as a maid, and maids in the Edwardian period were not wearing makeup. Hence, I’m using only light makeup, a bit of foundation, a bit of brow pencil, and lip gloss. Sometimes I might use only the lip gloss.

The Charmer shade is, as they describe it, soft creamy pink. For me is too light, I can wear it over lipstick, but not on its own. Hence I’m not using this shade as much as the other two.

Last, but not least, is Future Star. I see that they don’t have this colour anymore on their website. This is the first shade I’ve started using and it’s nearly finished now. That is visible in the picture too. I had to keep it on the side before taking the picture. Usually I would take pictures before using the products, but I didn’t know I’m going to like these so much that I’m going to talk about them on my blog. As with the Spark Plug Lip Gloss, I’ve used it on its own. It has a lovely shade, that works great for a light natural look.

All of them contain peppermint oil, so they have a light tingling sensation. Spark plug has glitter in it, while the other two don’t have any glitter. They are not too sticky, and I think they do last quite a bit of time.

  1. I haven’t tried the Bareminerals lip gloss, but do swear by their cc cream. They make some great products.

  2. I’ve never used Bare Minerals lip glosses before. I do like lip gloss sometimes, as long as it’s not super sticky.

  3. Love a good Bare Minerals gloss! Their’s have been some of my faves for a long time!

  4. I’ve never tried Bare Minerals lip products before. I used their Complexion Rescue for a long time, and I loved it, so I imagine the lip glosses are of the same high quality. Great to hear you’re getting so much use out of them, even the Charmer shade – what a good treat from a Goodie Bag!
