Hat Works Museum

We went yesterday in Manchester with business. But it was a shame not to take advantage to visit Hat Works Museum and have a nice evening with friends at a shisha bar.

First of all, we had to make sure Festus is tired. More pictures here.

A play in the woods is always enough to make him want to sleep for the rest of the day. Hubby and I weren’t dressed for the occasion, but, with Festus, that’s not a problem. As you can see in the picture, this time Festus and hubby had matching “outfits”.

Heels were too much, but I had the “flats in a pocket” with me. They are really great.

Hat Works Museum was very interesting. I think we must go back to visit it with a guide.

Me trying new looks, in case the Victorian clothing will be in style again. I love the cape, but I’m not so sure about the bonnet.

I also tried a few modern looks. Hubby tried a painter hat, looked good on him.

It was funny to try on hats. Also we both find the technological process very interesting. I didn’t like the fact that in the old days they used beaver and rabbit fur to make the hats. I had the impression all of them are made from wool.

After visiting the museum and the meetings, we went with friends at a shisha bar called Wanasah Cafe. The service was very good.
