I’ve been to Tofu Vegan for 4 times in the last two months, so I don’t think there is the need for a longer description. The food is amazing and the staff are so helpful, friendly, and just lovely. I will just share pictures of some of the food I had.
The place is usually very busy, so I managed to get only one picture, between guests, of the decor.
Wonton is my favourite dish from them, it’s delicious.
cantonese sweet-and-sour chicken
dry-fried green beans
fried noodles
salt and pepper tofu
stir-fried lamb with cumin and chilli
steamed buns
red bean paste rolls, dessert
Tofu Vegan is on 105 Upper St, London, N1 1QN.
I AM SALIVATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I’ve just realised that I could TOTALLY GO THERE as it’s really close to where I go to my rehearsals on a Thursday! Hey, maybe one Thursday we could meet if I can get out of school early? (ah, but you are going back now?!) Maybe next year!
I ADORE salt and pepper tofu and that one looks amazing!
I’d love to meet at Tofu Vegan, that’s a fab idea.
That all looks amazing! I’m guessing some of those dishes might a be a little spicy for me.
I thought so too initially, but they were not too spicy. Even those with a chilli sauce, and mixing it with the others makes it even less spicy. The only thing I was not 100% sure about was the sweet and sour dish, which it was a bit too sour for my taste, so I wouldn’t get that one again, but I love all the spicy ones.
I love sour/tart/acidic flavors, so I bet it would be right up my alley.
