I mentioned that I would love to climb Snowdon this year in the goals for 2016 post and Becster said she would like to join in. So, after talking, pondering ideas and researching… Bloggers conquer Snowdon was born. It’s true that Snowdon is not exactly Everest, but “Bloggers going on the easiest path on Snowdon while avoiding heights” doesn’t sound as good.
We decided on 7th May as it’s not very cold nor very hot and it’s a weekend, but not close to a bank holiday. I think it will be busy, but hopefully not that busy. There are 6 different paths to reach the top and the easiest one is Llanberis Path. It’s also the longest at 9 miles. The trip should take 6 hours.
Here are a few websites I saw on my research about this path, if you want to have a look: Llanberis Path; Snowdon walks and walkupsnowdon.
If you want to join in, I would love that. I mean, this is the reason why I’m blogging about it. You can find me on twitter @ancaslifestyle or send me an email to anca@ancaslifestyle.co.uk so I know you want to take part and I’m going to keep everybody updated.
I made a badge if you want to give me a little help spreading the word: Bloggers conquer Snowdon, on Llanberis Path, 7th May.
If you went on this path, please tell me your thoughts and any tips would be very appreciated.
I did Snowdon a few years ago with my husband, it was very, very busy and wet and cold, but I was glad to complete it! I am not available on that date, but I’d have loved to have joined in otherwise!
It’s a shame it’s not a good time for you. Maybe you can join us in another trip. xx
Sounds like such a lot do fun and a good challenge good luck x
Good luck!
I’d love to conquer Snowdon, but I don’t think my fatigue would let me at the moment. I think my best way up would be on the train! 🙂
You are so bracket doing this. Good luck with it all.
That’s brave of you! Good luck 🙂 xx
Amazing!! I’ve never done anything like this, I’m not even sure I could! I can’t wait to read about your experience on this trip, 9 miles is a decent length wow!!! Good luck 😀
Good luck with your challenge, bet you have a great time:-)
Good luck! I’ve never done anything as big as Snowdon, but I climbed Ingleborough when I was younger and the experience really stuck with me. Stay safe and have fun!
Wish you all the best with your challenge. I have walked up Snowdon as a teen but due to health issues now it a struggle sometime to get form the car park to the train up Snowdon.
I must have been up Snowdon at least 25 times and never been to the top when the clouds haven’t been down. One day, I hope to see the spectacular view from the top lol
Yay I hope some people join us! I think I may need to start training! :/
I wish my hip was feeling better (I’ve still move recovered from moving house) because I’ve always wanted to climb Snowdon. I think this is a great idea though and I wish you the best of luck!
