I wanted to visit Canterbury Cathedral for a while. Besides being one of the most important cathedrals in Britain, it is also the place where Thomas Becket was killed in 1170. The spot where he was killed is marked with an interesting memorial. Because it is such a well know cathedral this is a picture-only post. Enjoy!

Super photos again (this comment keeps recurring!). I was in Canterbury around a month ago and we went to the Cathedral too late to visit. I sang there in 1999 and 2000 for Evensong but I didn’t really have the chance to explore. I think we went there as children but I don’t really remember much.
Stunning photos. It’s not somewhere I’ve visited but I really need to. It looks amazing and just to be in a place like that with so much history much be a something else.
I love Canterbury Cathedral and think it might be my favorite that I’ve visited. The cloister area is beautiful. Thanks for sharing all these lovely photos!
