When I was wondering what should I organize for our anniversary, I received an invitation from Tune Hotels to stay in their new hotel in Liverpool. My first thought was “this is so exciting” because I live in Liverpool, at only 20 minutes by car from the hotel. I told hubby we are going to stay at Tune the day before, as I wanted to be a surprise. On the day we went to an event that we both enjoyed a lot, we had dinner and after that we went to the hotel.
I wasn’t familiar with the concept, but I find it very interesting. All the non-essentials can be added as an extra, so the guest doesn’t have to pay for something that is not used. We had all the extras included, obviously, and that only proved how good the concept is. I didn’t use the hair dryer or the in-room safe, so why pay for them?
Tune Hotels in Liverpool is on Castle Street, near the Town Hall. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city centre with lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. It’s in walking distance of Albert Dock. If you are with the car, after 6pm is free on-road parking, but there are plenty of affordable car parks nearby.
The room was big and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean, as expected. We had a good night sleep.
Near the bed was the desk with the chair, a full length mirror and the hair dryer.
Those lights are so cute, I liked them a lot.
The only thing I wasn’t that keen on was that the en-suite had a glass door and I would have preferred a little more privacy. Regardless, the bathroom had plenty of space and I think that is important, especially if you book a couple of days or more.
The Wi-Fi has a password and the website to log in is secured. I would say that it’s as safe as it can be online.
We had the room 14 at the first floor.
The view from our the room, a row with a hair saloon and other shops.
I received a complementary stay at the hotel. All opinions are my own and I wouldn’t recommend them if I wouldn’t think they are great and I would use their services again.
It looks a lovely clean and stylish place to stay!x
It was really lovely, I would recommend them. Thank you Kezzie x
The rooms look so smart, really clean and boutiquey. I would like that bathroom at home!
The bathroom looked stylish, I liked it too. Sam x
What lovely modern rooms. A great idea that you only pay for what you want. I agree re the glass door though!
It’s very useful to save some money, I like it a lot. Alison x
I think it’s wonderful you received a complimentary stay at the Tune Hotel! I think it’s a fine hotel though I don’t think I’d ever go there. Glass doors aren’t my thing, haha <3

I thought I’m the only one bothered by the glass door 😀 Thank you Bash x

I liked it a lot and the concept is great too 🙂 x
I remember going past when this was getting built and was so intrigued to see how it would turn out! It looks like a great little hotel, perfect if you need somewhere to stay for a weekend out in the city! So many amazing restaurants and bars nearby too!
Liking the concept of paying for the extras, most of the ones you usually get I rarely use so it could make it a much more affordable city centre stay too!
Sarah 🙂
I agree, most of time I wouldn’t use the extras anyway. Sarah x
