In a deadly attack on Lviv, on 4 September, 7 people died. I went with a friend at the funeral of 4 of those victims, to pay our respects. The victims’ names were Evheniia, Yaryna, Daryna, and Emilia Bazylevych. A mother and her 3 daughters died, being survived by the husband & father. He was pulled alive out of the rubble, but all 4 members of his family died. Evheniia was 43, Yaryna was 21, Daryna was 18, and Emilia was 7.

This is tragic and heartbreaking. It had to be very sad and I am grateful to you for sharing this — a reminder of the tragedy of war.
A very tragic event, I too was volunteering in Lviv when it happened last week. I slept soundly through the attack but met a friend the next day close to where it happened in Leopark.
The father only survived because he went back to the flat to fetch water for his family.
This was all over my Twitter feed and made my eyes prickle with every post. Absolutely unbearable, that poor man, how he’ll go on I simply can’t imagine.
I too can’t imagine what he is going through. All his family lost in a moment. Such a tragedy.
This is so tragic. Names and faces make it all the more personal, too.

Yes, the names and faces make it much more personal. Two people told me stories about this family, they were active and involved in charity/volunteering work.
This is so sad! They were no age at all and should not have died. xx

It was heartbreaking to attend the funeral. Children and teenagers came to say goodbye to their former friends and colleagues. So sad.
